Pottery Fair in Medynia Głogowska – 06/07/2025
The Pottery Fair in Medynia Głogowska is an annual celebration of craft, music and regional cuisine, attracting tourists from all over Poland. The event takes place in the MEDYNIA Pottery Centre and in the streets of Medynia Głogowska, where stands with handicrafts and a stage are set up.
The star of the programme is the ceremonial opening of a traditional pottery kiln with fired ceramics, which is a spectacular display of old technology. Moreover, pottery workshops for families take place here, conducted by the local and visiting potters. And there is a show of turning vessels on pottery wheels by residents of the basin of different ages.
Participants have also the opportunity to take part in a guided tour of such places like for instance the Gallery of Folk Ceramic Sculpture of Władysław Prucnal or a local church with ceramic mosaics. During the event, archival film shows or field games in the basin are held too.
