Open-air Museum in Markowa: A Travel back in time to the Polish countrylife of the past

Ticket info:
- The Zagroda Open-Air Museum – the Museum is open for visitors from 1 April to 30 November.
- On Mondays, the Museum is closed.
- For groups of over 20 people, there are workshops available.
- Entry to the museum is only paid in cash.
Important notice:
- Reconstruction of a traditional village: the Open-Air Museum in Markowa is an excellent example of a reconstruction of a traditional Sub-Carpathian village. It is interesting to note that some of the objects have been transferred to the open-air museum from other parts of the region.
- The Ulma Family Memorial Chamber: in the open-air museum of Markowa, there is also the Memorial Chamber of the Ulma family, who were murdered by the Germans in 1944 for helping Jews.
- The route from the hotel to the open-air museum in Markowa is truly picturesque – it leads through beautiful green areas of the Sub-Carpathian region. A perfect opportunity to learn more about the region. If possible, mount a bike, that’s the best way to explore the place.
