- Hidden under the Market Square – the Underground Route is located directly under the square and stretches for about 400 metres. It’s a real network of underground corridors!
- Medieval cellars – some of the routes lead through cellars which remember the Middle Ages. Here, trade goods and cellars were stored in the past.
- City defence – the cellars were used as a shelter when the city had to face invasions, especially during the 17th century wars against the Tartars and Swedes.
- Mysterious staircase – one of the corridors hides ‘stairs that lead into the unknown’. It is still a secret where they leave exactly – maybe it’s one of the secrets that these cellars hide?
- Brewing cellars – in the Middle Ages, parts of the underground were also used to produce beer. Up until the 18th century Rzeszów was known for high quality beer.
